The Innerspace 400 family of echosounders is manufactured by Innerspace Technology, Inc. of Karlstadt, New Jersey. The 449DF-1D Thermal Depth Sounder Recorder is a precision, dual frequency survey depth sounder.
The unit provides high resolution, dual frequency chart recordings, digital depth
display and RS232 output. Depth display and output may be switch selected:
F1, F2,
or F1 and F2 alternating. Typical frequencies are 200 kHz and 24 kHz or 210 kHz and
33 kHz.
The 449DF-1D is usually furnished with transducers, but existing customer-owned transducers of any frequency can be used. Over-the-side or hull mount transducers are also available.
OIC supports reading water depth from the Innerspace echosounders via GeoDAS-PC and GeoDAS-LT, over a standard RS-232 serial connection.
