The SeaMARC II and SeaMARC CL were first of their kind, deep ocean/near-bottom towed swath bathymetric side-scan sonar systems (with the SeaMARC II operating at 11 - 12 kHz range). The systems were co-created by the University of Hawaii and the Raytheon Company.
